RRG - Rock Bridge TrailOver the last few weeks, I’ve been hearing people talk about feeling stuck, not moving forward, things going haywire, not having what they want and feeling overwhelmed. Then suddenly, kaboom, it all started changing. What’s up with this?

In trying to make sense of it, I noticed a couple of things. There was the planetary retrograde cluster that seemed to muck up things from computer crashes to car accidents. There’s been the ongoing political fluctuations that’s been making our head and heart spin. There’s been crazy weather swings that’s had us in short sleeves one day and fleece the next. So maybe staying put while all this swirled around us was a really good idea.

Now, it appears we are moving out of the madness. So, what’s making a difference? How are we moving from stagnation to being back in the flow? Here’s what I’ve noticed and been telling people.

TAKE YOUR MIND OFF THE NEGETIVE

It seemed as if everyone around me had a story of woe to tell. Even I banged up my new car on my birthday – but I didn’t tell anyone. The negativity was so rampant, I didn’t want to add to the misery. There are only so many times you want to say or hear “I’m sorry”.

If you want things to change in your life, It becomes absolutely essential to put your attention on something other than the pessimism swirling around. The negative focus, as we all know, only reinforces and adds to the sucking energy that brings us down.

You’ve got to put your attention on something else – anything else. Focus on nature, it will always reground, reenergize and neutralize our negativity.

I always look to the huge, ancient sycamore tree in my yard for inspiration.

GET CLEAR ON WHAT YOU WANT

Instead of dwelling on what you don’t like, put your attention on what you’re wanting. It doesn’t matter if it seems far away or illogical. You have to start with a dream and if you want transformation to occur, you have to make an energetic shift.

When you change your focus to what you are wanting, it realigns your energy to the positive. By focusing on it, for as little as 17 seconds, you begin to shift into the vibration of what you are seeking. This is the important starting point that cannot be underestimated.

Make a point to day dream regularly – catch yourself smiling about it.

LEARN TO CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS TO THE POSITIVE

For the positive shift to take hold and actually create change means that you cannot keep contradicting yourself. The dreams cannot be dismissed with the usual “it’ll never work” negative chatter. That cancels out the positive and you are back to square one.

This is the hard part. You have to get disciplined. Start practicing turning negative thinking around into something that supports your dream. What thought makes you feel better – keep searching for the next one and do it over and over. Restructure your can’t, won’t and maybes to can, will and yes. It’ll change negative thoughts quickly.

Move yourself back into alignment by changing can’t to can.

GET SERIOUS ABOUT TAKING POSITIVE ACTION

Begin to match your positive thoughts with positive action. Do some research, make lists about what is needed to bring your dreams into reality. Start small, but start. Dreams without action don’t happen.

Just like all of creation, it takes both female and male attributes for something to come into existence. Our dreams, inspiration and creativity are the essential female components of creation, while plans, decisions and actions are the male counterpart. Which one is your strong suit? Notice what might be missing right now and put your attention on it. Remember, wherever you put your attention is what will produce results.

Practice matching your dreams with simple action steps

In the last few days. I’ve been noticing that people are moving from complaining and telling the sad tale of what’s not working to making decisions and taking action. Wow, does this simple shift make things change. It literally moves us out of stagnation back into the flow of life.

Try it for yourself. Think about the discouraged story you’ve been telling and move your thoughts to what you’d like to be saying. Then dream a little more, make some decisions and start planning. You’ll soon be on your way.
